Sky Capital with the support of Sifax Group conducted a familiarisation and informative meeting between the vendors, on how Sky Capital can support them by providing financial services for their businesses. The meeting was held at Ports & Cargo Handling Services (PCHS) terminal on 26th February 2026 was aimed at fostering strong partnerships and empowering vendors.
The event, which was chaired by the Deputy Director of Procurement and Admin, Sifax Group, Rev. Kelly Imade, was aimed at introducing vendors to the range of financial services available to support their business growth, particularly in fulfilling Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and scaling up their other independent ventures.
Kelly, in his opening remark, emphasised the company’s commitment to building long-term relationships with vendors, saying, “We are excited to partner with our vendors and support their growth to make their business better and seamless”.
Vendors who attended the meeting expressed their appreciation for the initiative. “This is a gamechanger for our business,” said Madam Bilikis, a vendor. “The financial services offered by SIFAX will help us fulfill large orders and expand our business.”
Another vendor, Mr. Segun Okafor, echoed the same sentiments, saying, “Access to funds to execute a large LPO is one of the challenges of business in Nigeria, but the meeting here today has given me hope. I’m looking forward to partnering with Sky Capital as they have promised that this meeting is the beginning of a long-term relationship.”
Interestingly, more than ten of the attendees, who arrived on time, including those who participated well by answering the facilitators’ questions, were identified and presented with special gifts of branded merchandise of Sky Capital.
Our team was led by its Head of Business Development, Mr. Tunde Olaniyan. Others include Mr. Abiodun Ogunsanmi and Mr. Emmanuel Fatide, both heads of Marketing and IT, respectively. Adio Kolawole of TRM Insurance, and Olatunbosun Olusegun of Trade Services to highlight insurance and foreign exchange services that can benefit vendors. The presentations sparked engaging discussions and questions from attendees.
